It's counter productive?
No it's just people with their oppinions. You can have yours, and Galanor can have hers, and I can have mine.
But you're not going to debate to me wether it's good or not. I hate it, I never say the word unless I am reffering to gender, and I think it is a waste of time and of course people have a choice wether to mate or not. It just makes me think that no-one has willpower anymore.
I'm going to say this now, I have a strong oppion on the subject, and I will never bear offspring, and I will die a virgin. That is how I have decided my life to be. Good luck convincing me otherwise.

I was not talking about human habits. If you reread the posts, I simply stated the way in which some aliens breed when Moondust commented that our topic of discussion was "disgusting," clearly so disturbed by the sexual habits of her own species that she could not even speak intellectually about the mating habits of other species. I commented on the ridiculousness of hating one's own biology, and here we are.
That being said, since sex is something that affects the human condition so completely, it needs to be discussed. Not on this thread, sure, but dismissing the topic of sex as dirty or disgusting, even when it is being discussed objectively, has caused A LOT of problems in humanity's history. Just saying.
