A song fitting to the RPAnimorphsOPEN - Mai - Selene - Jamie - Michael - OPEN - RESERVED We can't tell you who we are. Or where we live. It's too risky, and we've got to be careful. Really careful. So we don't trust anyone. Because if they find us...well, we just won't let them find us.
The thing you should know is that everyone is in really big trouble. Yeah. Even you. This RP is set in the place of the books, in an "alternate reality" if you consider it as such, where a different group of children are those that are fated to fight the Yeerks. This is meant to be a small-scale RP, with only a certain amount of Animorphs, until a certain point. This is why I'm going to allow only 5-6 Animorphs (one being my character), and eventually an Andalite who joins later. Also, I'm making this in a way that you don't have to know much about Animorphs to play, unless you're of course, the Andalite in the group. The setting is your average, run-of-the-mill city, no name needed being mentioned. There is a large zoo/amusement park known as the Gardens, and a downtown, as well as a mall--which is where our story will begin. Essentially, the city that is the setting of the books. I want, for now, the present five/six characters to be human. Eventually, we will get our Andalite. One slot has been reserved for Galanor, since she's unable to get online and I know she'll want to be in this. I'm going to be making Jamie, the RP's "Tobias" (though of course, not exactly like him, just pretty much the same circumstances).

Profiles Name: (character's name) Gender: (male or female) Species: (For now, human) Age: (I'd like us all to be in high school at the start of this).
Personality:
Appearance:
Morphs: (Only our Andalite will have morphs at this point). Have a good idea of your character's backstory in mind. While not presently needed, I may ask for it later so I can work things into the plot. For balance, I want at least two of each gender to be in the RP.

Rules - Follow the site rules and regulations. This should be a given by now, yes? - If I hear any complaining about how things are cliché or something like that, I'll throw you out of the thread. I've had this happen before and it's just annoying. The idea for RPing is to have fun, and not to create a masterpiece. - That being said, I want at least a paragraph (which is about three decent-sized paragraphs, minimum) per post. No one-liners, please. Put some effort into your posts. - Swearing is fine as long as it makes sense for the character to be doing it. - Romance is allowed but don't take it too far. - Realism is encouraged! - Don't move the plot yourself; that's my job. - Ask permission to have more than one character. - Feel free to work in character plots with me. - Don't boss me or others around. - Have fun! (another given, of course :3)
Speech Rules - "This is a normal person talking," said Rachel. - <This is an Andalite or a person in morph talking,> she pointed out, after morphing into a bald eagle. - This is thinking, she thought. - {This is speaking in the head when there is a Yeerk/other being inside,} she said in her head. - This is a Leeran speaking, said the Leeran. - [This is Chee-to-Chee speech,] said the Chee. - THIS IS THE ELLIMIST SPEAKING, said the Ellimist.
Morphing Rules - No one will know these rules right off the bat, unless you're an Andalite. - There is a two-hour time limit to morphing. Any longer, and you're trapped in the animal form, thus becoming a nothlit. Any exceptions require the permission of myself. - You must first touch the animal to acquire its DNA. You must have about a moment to absorb it, and be able to focus. Only then can you morph it. After absorbing the DNA, you need to form a mental picture of it in your mind in order to successfully morph. In order to demorph, you need to form a mental picture of yourself. - Each particular morph has its own REALISTIC strengths and weaknesses. For example, if you're in tiger morph, you can't fly, nor do you have the power to bend space-time continuum or turn people into pineapples. Ask a moderator if you're unsure about the morph, or look it up on Wikipedia. - Once you morph an animal, you get its instincts, as well as your own. You can get lost in its instincts, and sometimes, it's best to let instincts take over, such as birds with flying. - Morphing power is a technology, no one is born with the capability of morphing. Morphing power can only be obtained by touching the Escafil Device (the blue box). Only the Animorphs, and Andalites, would have the morphing power. - It is physically impossible to go from one morph to another without returning to your regular body first. In other words, if you're in eagle morph and you wanna go grizzly bear, you need to demorph first, and only then can you do the other morph. - Rapidly morphing in a short timespan can and will get exhausting. - Any injury obtained while in a morph can be repaired by simply demorphing and/or demorphing then remorphing. Injuries don't affect the actual creature's DNA, unless you're fatally close to death or knocked out cold. If that is the case, you won't be able to summon enough concentration to morph back. - Morphing is not pretty, unless you happen to be an estreen (someone who has a natural talent in morphing, which you must get my permission for). - Morphing with regular shoes and clothes on is pretty much impossible. Usually, those end up getting ripped, torn, shred in the morphing process. Or if they don't, you're buck naked when you go back to your humanform. Morph-capable humans should have on tight spandex-type clothes, like leotards or tight shirts and bike shorts. - You can't acquire someone else's morph...you need to acquire the actual original animal itself. - You can only acquire and absorb animal DNA, and yes, it does include humans and other sentient beings as well. However, you can't morph into plants, trees, and especially NOT inanimate objects like desks or chairs. Also, animals must be alive to be acquired. - Mixing the DNA of animals that can breed is possible, such as two different humans or three dogs of different species. The result will be what an offspring of the two (or more) would look like, and would be of the median age of the animals acquired. Doing this takes more skill and focus than just morphing one animal. To the Andalites, this is called a frolis maneuvre. - While mixing DNA of breedable animals is acceptable, mixing DNA of animals that can't breed is NOT. So, I don't want to see any ligers or chimeras running around. - When in morph, a person is not able to speak normally unless the animal they morphed can speak. However, they have access to a type of telepathy called thought-speak. Andalites, having no mouths, use this as their normal mode of communication.

Name: Selene Gender: Female Species: Human Age: 15 Personality: Selene, she can be a bit crazy at times, after drinking something like Coca Cola. Most the time she is quite calm and reserved, and thinks everything through. She's always been a little eccentric, and while she's relatively strong for a human female, she's actually a peace loving person. She loves nothing more than helping out at her mother's Animal shelter, and she loves going to the Gardens with her dad at the weekend.
She has no favorite animal, but loves them all, especially cats, dogs and horses. She has three horses of her own, and her favorite is her Frisian horse named Charcoal.
Appearance: A tall and sturdy person, with long natural blondish-brown hair. Her eyes are a piercing green color. Her general body shape speaks that of a strong girl, who rebels against males when they think they're superior. She does quite a few hours of extra work around the Shelter, and this shows as her muscles are quite toned.
Normally wears clothes that she can move in, and she won't go anywhere near skirts or dresses! Wears long sleeved tops most the time, as she burns easily, and is rather pale. Morphs: None yet.

Name: Jamie Gaunler Gender: Female Species: Human (doesn't know it, but is the daughter of an Andalite and a human) Age: 15
Personality: Jamie is socially awkward and sometimes has trouble knowing how to react, or how to act. And sometimes, she can't word things in the right way. When she doesn't know what to say, she doesn't usually say anything at all, or says something nonsensical or off-topic. Despite this, she enjoys the company of people. She doesn't really act masculine or feminine, one or the other; she's pretty much a mixture of both.
Jamie is not the best singer in the world, but she enjoys singing, and moreso listening to music. Music triggers memories, or rather the feelings associated with them, good or bad. And so, listening to music affects her mood, usually in a good way, though some music just gets her annoyed. As well as music, Jamie loves to draw and to write, though in both, she finds herself to be mediocre despite people being impressed by her work. She sometimes roleplays online, as a hobby, though she's found she has less time to do this and her other hobbies as well.
Jamie appears happy and upbeat much of the time, but is very vocal about how she feels, unless she is sure her opinion will hurt someone she cares deeply about. She enjoys all kinds of things, though sometimes her interests end up rather narrow. She actually enjoys school, except when people make fun of her though she's pretty much used to it. Learning things makes her feel better about herself.
During battle, she tries not to think about the fact that she is killing other creatures, and focuses on the issue at hand, the need to stay alive and to protect her friends. She feels that she would do anything, sacrifice anything, for her comrades. Though despite being detached in combat, Jamie tends to think back, to think about the cries of the Hork-Bajir and Taxxons as they are killed, and feel a bit depressed, generally at nighttime when at home. Regardless, she will not give up the fight.
(Some of this will not be apparent until she is an Animorph).
Appearance: All-in-all, Jamie has a somewhat masculine appearance, furthered by her choice of clothing. She is thin, but a healthy thin, and relatively average in terms of height. Jamie has short brown hair, falling nearly to the bottom of her neck. She keeps her hair relatively tame, getting it trimmed regularly and brushing it in the morning. Her skin is slightly pale, though a little tanned, and her chest is mostly flat, as she hasn’t yet really developed in those areas.
Normally, she tends to wear a pair of jeans, or cargo pants—clothing she bought from the boys’ department. She really doesn’t like girls’ pants, because whatever she finds isn’t really her style or doesn’t have good pockets. Rarely ever does she wear shorts. With her pants, she wears t-shirts, varying ones with logos upon them. And rarely do you ever find her without a blue jean jacket. To complete the outfit is a pair of black, all-weather moccasins, and a black-and-blue backpack.
Morphs: None yet.

Name: Mai Gender: Female Age: 15 Personality: When you first meet Mai she seems like one of those people who never talks. But once you get past the quiet, shy person, its like theres a whole other person. Once you get to know her you'll see she is smart and mature, yet knows how to have fun.
Mai's favorite animal is a tiger. She owns 2 guinea pigs and is a moderate horse back rider.
Appearence: She has long bronze hair and pefect-shade-of-blue eyes that are often deep in thought. She is talland not skinny but not fat. Her body is soft shaped but there is some serious leg mucle in those calves.
She wears simple outfits of jeans and t-shirt. she dresses appropriatly for weather when needed. The most important thing about her outfit is her grey hoodie. its a zip-up and has stains from various substances all over it. Thus representing her personality.
Morphs: doesnt know what the word means yet.

The next 2-3 Animorphs need to be boys, for sake of balance, if you folks wouldn't mind. ^_^
