"The Falls of Fire? I've only heard stories of it." Syrah said. "Why, are the Falls of Fire beautiful?" Syrah asked.

"You see them now?" he asked, looking to the mighty waterfall. "At sunset, they glow with the light of the setting sun. They look like molten flame as they spill down the cliffs. It is a sight wondrous to behold."

"Wow." Syrah mumbled, gazing at the falls, from a distance. "They already look stunning! You say they become more beautiful? I can't wait!" Syrah exclaimed, and she jumped for joy.

Reyx nodded. It was getting a little later. "So," he asked, "What do you wish to do until the ceremony?"

"I want to know how to breathe fire!" Syrah exclaimed. "I've heard many things, like Ice breath, electric breath, Bubble breath, fire breath, snow breath, metal vapour breath! Allsorts! I wonder what one I have!" Syrah smiled, imagining.

"Well," Reyx replied. "We'd better get somewhere that won't get harmed when you first learn this. A dragon who hasn't mastered their breath weapon yet can be... explosive. Not literally, you understand. But it could be dangerous to those around you."
They got to a grassy field next to the river, and Reyx began to instruct her in the way of the flame.
"First," he said, "Take a deep breath. This will give your lungs the charge that they need to create your flame. Concentrate on filling your lungs. Then hold it for a few seconds, and feel the magic in your heart. Make the air in your lungs fill with it, and exhale. Watch." Reyx took a deep breath. After a few seconds, he stretched his neck and breathed out. A jet of hot, bright red and gold flames shot from his maw, the flames themselves straight and needle-like instead of fluffy and twisted like a normal fire.
"A dragon's flames are unique to each one of us. Mine look like that. Nightwing's, on the other hand, are black, and they billow and twist like smoke."

Syrah took a deep breath, and did exactly as Reyx said. But to her dismay, only a puff of smoke came out of her mouth. So, not willing to give up, she tried again, taking an even deeper breath, filling her lungs with more magic. But then she faultered. Something had agitated her nose. She sniffled a little, holding back a sneese. "Ah, Reyx... Ahhh-CHOOO!" Suddenly the magic she had been storing shot from her maw in the form of a semi solid buring blue ball of flame. She sent it flying at four hundred miles an hour (That's how powerful a sneese is) at the ground. It hit the floor, and left a crater in the floor, a meter deep. The explosive force knocked Syrah flying, but Reyx was unaffected as he was much heavier, and he held his ground. Syrah rose from a crumpled heap. "You're right. Learning to breathe fire can be explosive!"

'Quite,' Reyx laughed, watching the young one's antics. "Try once more."

Syrah stood square on all fours. Gathering her energy again, she took aim, at a rock, about 300 meters away. "Die, rock!" Syrah said, rather playfully. She breathed again, sending another flat disk of fire at the rock. She hit is dead on centre. Syrah smiled, pleased.

"Excellent," Reyx clapped. 'Beautiful. You'll master that in no time." He grinned.
"So, what do you wish to learn now?"

"I think it would be wise if I learnt something that could cause a distraction, so I could escape if my enimies outstrengthened me, or I was wounded. Something like telekinisis would work really well."

"Telekinesis?" he asked. "That's a simple technique, really. It takes no magic, only concentration. Focus on what you want to do." He dug around in the grass for a while, finding a small pebble - well, a good-sized stone to anyone other than a dragon. "Here. Focus on the stone. This takes a lot of concentration, and a lot of practice. You will probably not get it on the first try."
"Focus on the stone. Visualize it coming from the ground. But don't so much try to pull it away from the earth. Make it lift. That is, imagine that it has become lighter, as though it is filled with air. And then lift." He showed her this technique as well. He closed his eyes and concentrated. The stone lifted a few feet from the ground. As it rose, he opened his eyes. Where they went, so did the stone. It rose to his eye level, many feet above the ground, and then he severed the connection. The stone dropped to the ground.
"Now you try," he instructed.

(Um, Reyx has met up with a young dragon named Syrah that sort of has another personality that surfaces at night. They have made their way to the forest nation of Derinth, specifically the city of Ninevale, and have had spoken with the Council of Sages. They revealed quite a bit of plot. I think their conversation with the Sages spans pages 7 and 8. x3 Sorry I skipped ahead of you. Also, I've taken over the part of Nightwing the Foul too. Jacob was... not good at it. x3 You can pretend you've followed us thus far, or pop up, or whatever.)

Syrah gaped. "Okay..." She said, worriedly. She chose a slightly smaller stone... A marble sized stone. But there was no lifting it with her mind. It would not budge. "Reyx, am I doing something wrong?" She asked. Syrah quickly tried again. It wobbled a little, but it wouldn't move more than that.
